By downloading, installing, or using the Sokhak application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Sokhak is an Armenian audiobook platform available on iOS and Android. All audiobook narrations are produced using AI-powered text-to-speech (TTS) technology. Some titles feature voice performances cloned from well-known Armenian public figures, created exclusively with their explicit written consent.
Sokhak is available to users of all ages. If you are registering on behalf of a minor, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian and accept these Terms on their behalf.
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
The free tier of Sokhak provides:
Free-tier users may not circumvent or attempt to circumvent preview limits by any technical or other means. Abuse of the preview system may result in account suspension.
Paid Sokhak subscriptions are sold in the App, through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google). Apple or Google processes the payment, charges any applicable taxes and issues your receipt, under its own terms (the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions or the Google Play Terms of Service), which apply together with these Terms.
We no longer sell subscriptions on our website. A subscription bought there earlier is billed by our checkout partner for website purchases, Paddle, which acts as the authorised reseller and merchant of record for it, under its buyer terms and privacy policy. It renews until you cancel it, through the "Manage subscription" link in your receipt email or the buyer support portal. Paddle handles its billing, receipts, refunds and chargebacks; please contact them before raising a chargeback with your bank.
A paid subscription (Individual or Family) grants you:
A Family subscription extends this to up to 4 people, as described in section 7.6.
Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account when you confirm the purchase. Your subscription renews automatically for the same period (monthly or yearly) and is charged again unless automatic renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. If a free trial is offered, it becomes a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
Cancel in your store account: on iPhone or iPad, Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. Deleting the App or your Sokhak account does not cancel a store subscription. We do not refund partial periods except where the store's policy or applicable law requires it; see our Refund Policy.
We may change subscription prices. Apple or Google will tell you before a price increase applies to your subscription and, where required by law or by their rules, ask for your consent. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the new price applies.
If your subscription lapses, your access to the full catalog, offline downloads, and multi-device access will be suspended. Your listening history and bookmarks will be retained and restored if you resubscribe.
A Family subscription is bought in the App, through the App Store or Google Play, by one person, the organizer, and is billed to the organizer only. The organizer must be an adult and is responsible for the children's accounts they create.
Sharing a Family subscription as described in this section is permitted and is not a breach of section 8.
Each person on a paid subscription may use it on up to 2 devices at a time. Using it on more devices, or sharing it with other people outside a Family subscription (section 7.6), is a violation of these Terms and may result in account suspension.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.
